OPERA COMMISSIONATA DALLA COMPAGNIA DELLA BANDIERA
Il Comune di Cisano, che raggiunse una sua autonomia a partire almeno dall'anno 1225, era amministrato dal "massaro ", eletto dall'assemblea dei capi famiglia. Secondo la tradizione orale, il 'Massaro' presiedeva le assemblee e parlava alla comunità da questa pietra, cara ai cisanesi, chiamata 'preonda'.
SCELTA COMPOSITIVA La composizione vede il Massaro al centro come se fosse realmente sopra la pietra, dalla quale si rivolgeva ai capifamiglia riuniti in assemblea. I personaggi hanno diverse connotazioni storiche nei costumi: questo perchè il Massaro svolse questo compito dal tardo medioevo alla sopravvenuta Serenissima Repubblica di Venezia ( 1405 - 1797 ), quindi un ampio lasso di tempo con relative mutazioni nell'abbigliamento dei popolani: si veda ad esempio il tamburino con vestiti tipici del '600 ed invece il personaggio a destra del Massaro con abbigliamento tipico medievale.... autore Ben Peretti: beniaminoperetti.it

Die Gemeinde Cisano, die spätestens ab dem Jahr 1225 ihre Autonomie erlangte, wurde vom "Massaro" verwaltet, der von der Versammlung der Familienoberhäupter gewählt wurde. Nach mündlicher Überlieferung leitete der „Massaro“ die Versammlungen und sprach von diesem Stein, der „Preonda“ genannt wird und den Cisanesi so am Herzen liegt, mit der Gemeinde.
WAHL DER ZUSAMMENSETZUNG Die Komposition sieht Massaro in der Mitte, als ob er wirklich auf dem Stein stünde, von dem aus er die in der Versammlung versammelten Familienoberhäupter ansprach. Die Charaktere haben unterschiedliche historische Konnotationen in den Kostümen: Dies liegt daran, dass Massaro diese Aufgabe vom späten Mittelalter bis zur darauf folgenden Serenissima-Republik Venedig (1405 - 1797) ausführte, also einen großen Zeitraum mit relativen Veränderungen in der Kleidung der Bürgerliche: siehe zum Beispiel den Trommler mit typischer Kleidung aus dem 17.
